Speculation surrounding Saido Berahino's West Brom future continues to swirl after Tony Pulis dropped him to the bench for Sunday's game against Middlesbrough.

The Baggies forward has been the subject of much interest over the summer, but remains at the Hawthorns with just three days of the transfer window remaining.

Speaking ahead of the home Premier League tie with Middlesbrough on Sunday, Pulis explained that the 23-year-old was not in the right frame of mind to start.

Tony Pulis says West Brom just need a few more players in to make a difference after their 0-0 draw with Middlesbrough.

"We've got Saido on the bench, to clear his mind." Pulis told Super Sunday. "He's got three days for another window to pass, and then hopefully his mind will be clear and we can go from there."

After the match, Pulis looked disappointed with the result, and insisted that he needs reinforcements to improve the squad.

When quizzed on Berahino's future, he simply suggested that the situation will be "resolved in 48 hours."
