Wolves are close to signing Rafa Mir from Valencia, according to Sky sources.

The clubs have been in advanced talks and the 20-year-old striker sees the move as an avenue into the Premier League.

Sky Sports News has been told the forward has been monitored by Real Madrid, having scored 15 times in 19 games for Valencia's B side this season.

Woves boss Nuno Espirito Santo worked with the player at Valencia, and wants him to provide competition and cover for Leo Bonatini.

Bonatini has been an instant success at Wolves, scoring 12 goals and playing in all 26 of the club's Sky Bet Championship games this season.

Wolves have been impressive all over, but they need to ease the load on Leo Bonatini up front.
Matt Murray, Sky Sports pundit

Sky Sports pundit Matt Murray said: "Wolves have been impressive all over, but they need to ease the load on Leo Bonatini up front.
