Wolves have signed Swindon winger Nathan Byrne for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old moves to Molineux ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline and has penned a three-year deal, with the option of a fourth.

"He has developed into a very good attacking player in League One over the last couple of seasons in a very good and successful Swindon team," said boss Kenny Jackett.

"Nathan is an exciting young player who can play wide on either side, or as number 10 behind the striker."

Former Tottenham trainee Byrne made 108 appearances for the Robins, scoring 11 goals, after initially joining on loan from Spurs before making a permanent move in 2013.

He told Wolves' official website: "I am buzzing to be at such a big club with great ambitions which want to push on.

"The team is young and there is a real belief here and I am delighted to be involved.

"There were a lot of rumours over the summer but I kept my head down and let my agent deal with that.

"I heard that there were a lot of clubs interested but I stayed focused on the job I had at Swindon.

"Then my agent phoned me the other day to say Wolves were interested and as soon as I heard that I really wanted to go for it.

"Thankfully we've got it all done and now I'm here."
