Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama believes a never-say-die attitude could yet see them secure a European berth next season.

Saints recovered from two goals down and a missed penalty to defeat Liverpool 3-2 at Anfield on Sunday and are now just three points and two places off fifth place.

Former Celtic player Wanyama came off the bench at half-time to play his part in the dramatic win and he was convinced Southampton could get something from the game even when 2-0 down.
