Nathan Redmond is having a medical at Southampton on Saturday ahead of a proposed £11m move from Norwich City, according to Sky sources.
Saints have made their move for the 22-year-old winger after he returned from holiday after playing a key role for England U21s in their title success at the Toulon Tournament in France last month.
Redmond, who has made 28 appearances for England U21s, is likely to replace Sadio Mane at Southampton with Liverpool in talks over bringing the 24-year-old Senegal international forward to Anfield from St Mary's for a fee in the region of £30m.
Redmond joined Norwich from Birmingham City in July 2013 and has scored 13 goals in 122 appearances for the Canaries.
He netted six times in 34 Premier League matches last season but was unable to save Norwich from relegation back to the Sky Bet Championship.
The Canaries are keen to keep Redmond but he now looks set to return to the top flight with Southampton, who appear to have beaten off the likes of Stoke City in securing his signature.
