Ronald Koeman is not in line to become the new Netherlands coach according to the Dutch Football Association.
A report in Thursday's Sun newspaper claimed Danny Blind was facing the axe after just two matches in charge with the Southampton manager favourite to replace him.
A Dutch FA official told Sky Sports News HQ: "Danny Blind is not facing the sack. He's only been our manager for two games. Despite losing both, we could still qualify for the European Championship finals.
"Blind signed a contract keeping him with us until the World Cup in 2018. Within that contract there is is an agreement for him to meet the board of directors after the European qualification period.
"That will still happen in the next couple of months to see if they're still happy with him."
The Dutch dispensed with Guus Hiiddink after a poor start to their campaign in the European Qualifiers but there has been no upturn in fortunes since Blind took over; defeats against Iceland and Turkey this month have left them in a two-way fight with Turkey for a play-off place in Group A.
Koeman, who was linked with Dutch post last year, won 78 caps for his country and won the Dutch league as a manager with both Ajax and PSV.
