Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has been charged with misconduct by the FA following Saturday's game against Tottenham.
Hughes was sent to the stands during the first half of his side's 4-0 home defeat to Spurs.
The Stoke manager was dismissed for verbally abusing the fourth official on 35 minutes just before Heung-Min Son scored the first of his two goals.
Sparks began to fly on the touchline when Marko Arnautovic was booked for simulation, a decision which left Hughes visibly angry.
After a confrontation with the fourth official, referee Anthony Taylor was called over and sent Hughes to the stands.
Hughes has until 6pm on Friday, September 16, to respond to the charge.
Stoke are bottom of the Premier League, having taken just a single point from their four games this season.
That point came in the opening fixture of the campaign, a 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough.
