Post-match reaction from Mark Hughes after Stoke's 1-1 draw with West Brom.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes said his side should have taken three points from Saturday's game at home to West Brom.

As it was, a stoppage time equaliser from West Brom's Salomon Rondon denied Hughes' men their first victory this season.

Joe Allen looked to have won it when he bundled the ball home via a deflection off Claudio Yacob, but Stoke's weakness from set-pieces cost them later on.

The 1-1 draw means Stoke remain in the drop zone with only Sunderland below them in the table.

Hughes said: "I didn't really think they deserved to take the three points away from us. As it is, they've been able to take a point and we're feeling a little bit deflated."

Stoke had been the better side for much of the game with Allen busy in midfield and Xherdan Shaqiri looking particularly bright on his first Premier League appearance since the opening weekend.

"In fairness, it was a good performance from us," Hughes said. "I think we were always the team that was progressive and trying to get on the front foot," he said.
