Wolves have confirmed striker Benik Afobe has joined Stoke after making just 16 appearances for the club.

Afobe has signed for the Potters on an initial six-month loan which will become a permanent deal in January.

The 25-year-old moved to Wolves on loan from Bournemouth during the January transfer window and scored six goals in their Championship-winning campaign.

Wolves triggered the option on Afobe's loan deal on June 1 to make his signing permanent, but, less than a fortnight later, the DR Congo international is now moving to Stoke.
