Girona have completed the signing of defender Marc Muniesa from Stoke on a three-year permanent deal.

The 26-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at the Spanish side and played 14 times, helping them to finish 10th in La Liga.

Muniesa joined Barcelona as a 15-year-old and made his first-team debut at the Nou Camp at the mere age of 17.

After struggling for game-time in Spain, Muniesa came to the Premier League and joined Stoke in 2013 where he went on to make over 50 appearances.
