Blackwell rues Ricketts loan
Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell cannot recall Michael Ricketts from his loan spell at Cardiff.
Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell has revealed he cannot recall Michael Ricketts from his loan spell at Cardiff in a bid to ease the club's striking problems.Blackwell is currently without Richard Cresswell, who is expected to be out for three months, as well as Rob Hulse who is struggling with an ankle problem.
United travel to Burnley on Saturday with just Robbie Blake, David Healy and Ian Moore in contention for a starting role, and Blackwell says he has been denied the option of bringing Ricketts back into the fold due to the terms of his loan.
"We can't recall Michael because he is on a permanent loan at Cardiff," said Blackwell.
"If it was a temporary loan I could consider recalling him if Hulse is not fit, but he's there on a permanent basis until January, so I don't have that option."
