Yohan Cabaye has tipped Crystal Palace team-mate Wilfried Zaha to earn an England recall.

Zaha, who made 42 appearances in all competitions this season and scored five goals, has played an important role in Palace's run to the FA Cup final.

The 23-year-old was Sir Alex Ferguson's final signing at Manchester United, but after failing to impress under David Moyes he made a swift return to Selhurst Park in August 2014.

Ahead of Saturday's FA Cup showdown with Manchester United, Cabaye has paid tribute to the contributions of Zaha, and is confident he can play at the highest level.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the French international said: "For me Wilfried is an unbelievable player. He has a big, big talent and is still young.

"I don't know what happened at that time [United] but I'm just happy to have Wilf in the team. He can make a difference on the pitch and is very important to us."

Zaha missed out on Roy Hodgson's provisional 26-man squad for Euro 2016, but Cabaye believes if his recent form is anything to go by, he can force his way into the England team in the not too distant future.

"He is still young, so is going to learn again and again," he said. "Hopefully for him he will get in the England squad soon, after the Euros maybe, and if he is still playing at this level it is a chance for us."
