Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says it would take an offer of £50m for the club to consider selling winger Wilfried Zaha.

The former Manchester United man showcased his quality on Saturday against Middlesbrough with a classy assist for Christian Benteke's opener before netting the winner in a 2-1 win for Palace at the Riverside Stadium.

It is that type of quality which prompted Tottenham to bid £15m for him in August but Pardew revealed he sat Zaha down and convinced him Selhurst Park was the place for him to continue to develop.

"Of course I sat down and spoke to him. I want someone to blow the doors off if they're going to come for him, not have him go somewhere as a squad player at £16-17m," Pardew said.

"When you see someone put £50m that's when you think about it. That assist for the first goal - I can't ask for more."

Zaha was named Palace's Player of the Year last season and Pardew revealed in May Sir Alex Ferguson told him the player who was his last ever signing was certainly still good enough to be at United.

Despite the speculation surrounding his future, Pardew says the 23-year-old's attitude has been first-class.

"Trust me; I've been in the position when you can't get anything out of a player. Us Premier League managers pull our hair out. That's not been the case with Wilf," Pardew added.

"If I was to mark him out of ten I would give him a ten, that's how good his attitude's been."
