EAGLES LINKED WITH BENJAMIN SWOOP
Benjamin has endured a torrid time at Filbert Street finding the net just once in 35 league games for The Foxes and with boss Dave Bassett keen to generate some transfer funds, he may well be receptive to any approach Palace make.
The former Cambridge striker is valued in the £1 million bracket and would no doubt welcome a move away from the East Midlands where he can rekindle his flagging career.
Meanwhile, Palace have appointed Dave Swindlehurst as the club's new reserve team boss.
Swindlehurst has enjoyed managerial stints at Bromley and Molesey and has more recently been working with the Palace youth academy.
However, boss Trevor Francis decided to promote Swindlehurst in the wake of Mark Bowen's defection to Birmingham City, along with former boss Steve Bruce.
