Sean Dyche says Burnley are now financially strong enough to resist bids for their best players, as he prepares to build a squad capable of competing in Europe.
The Clarets will enter the second qualifying round of the Europa League next season after securing a seventh-place finish in the Premier League.
Burnley have lost the likes of Danny Ings, Kieran Trippier and Michael Keane to other top-flight clubs in recent seasons but Dyche believes the club is now in a position to hold on to their best talent.
Speaking ahead of his side's final game of the season against Bournemouth, Dyche said: "We're certainly strong financially. There is no sense of anyone having to go anywhere.
"There is a reality to the market but it is not just us, there are super power clubs that get bids of astronomical levels where eventually they have to look at it.
"But we are in a position where it would need very, very big offers to even consider losing any players at this moment in time.
"That is because of the diligence of the board and myself as manager to keep the club running at a good level. We don't have to trade out, but we're still looking to bring players in of course. We want to keep strengthening.
"The other side is, it can be a challenge getting players in. We've all seen the finance that's needed now to sign players. Finding that balance is a tricky thing but that's what we're looking to do."
Burnley tied down Johann Berg Gudmundsson to a new three-year contract on Friday and Dyche is delighted the Iceland international has committed his future to the Clarets.
"[I'm] really pleased," said Dyche. "I've mentioned many times, we try and be open with all of our players and their agents about their contractual situation.
"We do well with it, we're respectful with the sense of what we can do as a club. He is another part of that.
"We're very pleased - he has had a very strong season. We saw a lot of good things in his last season, a couple of unfortunate spells when he was injured, but he stepped up again this season.
"We're trying to keep our best players."
