Pig protest disrupts match between Charlton Athletic and Coventry City

Charlton Athletic's game against Coventry City was delayed when both sets of supporters threw plastic pigs on the pitch.
Fans of both Sky Bet League One clubs held a protest march prior to the game to demonstrate their opposition to their respective club's current owners.
And the protest continued into the match when, in the second minute, around 3,000 small plastic pigs were thrown onto the playing surface.
Charlton fans have held several protests against owner Roland Duchâtelet and Coventry fans are unhappy with how their club is being run by the Sisu group.
The two sets of supporters made history before the match when they marched from Charlton Church Lane to The Valley, many of them holding banners and placards.
Belgian millionaire politician Duchâtelet took control of Charlton in January 2014, and since that time has hired seven managers.
The club were relegated from the Sky Bet Championship last season and were 18th in League One going into the weekend round of fixtures, while Coventry are 24th.
