QPR midfielder Michael Doughty has extending his contract with the Sky Bet Championship club for another two years.
Doughty, 22, joined the club at the age of 14 and has made three appearances in the Premier League last season under manager Chris Ramsey, making his debut during a 2-0 win at Sunderland.
The R's youth team product, who started this season for Rangers in August's 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town, has appeared seven times in the Sky Bet Championship so far.
Speaking to the club's website Doughty proudly commented on extending his stay: "I'm obviously delighted, and very grateful to the powers for showing their faith in me.
"I am really settled here and feel I am improving every day. I am also getting the opportunities to display myself, and I am chomping at the bit for some more. I have been given far more opportunities than I have been used to previously here, and now I really feel part of the first-team set-up."
Delighted QPR Director of Football Les Ferdinand said: "This is a really pleasing one, from a personal point of view. It has been well-documented what we are looking to do here at QPR, and Michael's recent progress and development are testament to that.
"Michael has worked incredibly hard to make himself a genuine challenger for a first-team slot, and when you look at the calibre of players he is competing with in midfield, he deserves tremendous credit for that.
"He also serves as a fantastic example for the younger age groups here at QPR, he has shown them what can be achieved with the right attitude and a will to learn."
Ferdinand added: "He is proof that a pathway from the academy to the first team exists, and my aim is to ensure more players follow in his footsteps."
