QPR boss Ian Holloway is looking to strengthen his squad

QPR manager Ian Holloway says the Championship club are making progress on some potential signings and that he also has back-up plans in place if needed.
The R's will start the 2017/18 campaign at home to Reading on August 5 and Holloway is confident he will have strengthened his squad by then.
The R's boss told Sky Sports News HQ: "It is very difficult to do business at this time, because people are off on holiday and doing all sorts of things.
"But we have targets and those targets, we are down the road on that.
"We know who we want and it is just trying to get those deals over, and I have got back-up if those deals don't happen, so we are in a really good situation."
QPR finished 18th last season after an underwhelming campaign, during which Holloway was brought in following the departure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
And the Londoners are not seen by the bookmakers as among the leading contenders for promotion next season.
"I can understand that," said Holloway.
"But it is about what our fans feel, and us and what we feel we can achieve.
"We have got some togetherness to get, because we were a little bit flaky at times. If we lose one game, then it affects us in the next, and we had some bad runs.
"But hopefully we will make a few recruitments and see what we can do."
