Leicester continued their Premier League title charge with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.

Riyad Mahrez's first-half strike gave them their third win in four games and opened up an eight-point gap on second-placed Tottenham, who play in-form Bournemouth on Sunday.

Leicester have 66 points after 31 Premier League games, 41 more than they had at the same stage last season, when they were bottom of the table with seven games remaining.

Across Europe's top-five leagues, only Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich have more points than Leicester.

With 16 goals and 11 assists, Riyad Mahrez has been involved in more Premier League goals than any other player this campaign. His team-mate Jamie Vardy is second with 19 goals and six assists.

Mahrez has also netted more Premier League goals away from home than any other player (12).

Mahrez and Vardy have set each other up for eight Premier League goals this season (five Mahrez assists, three Vardy assists), a joint-high along with Arsenal's Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud.

Mahrez's goals have won more points for his side (20) than any other players'. Vardy's goals rank second for points won with 18.

Leicester's win at Palace was their 10th away from home this season - two more than any other side.

Vardy has hit the woodwork more times (six) than any other Premier League player this season.

Phil Thompson was full of praise for Leicester as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 and extended their lead at the top of the table

Leicester have scored eight penalties this season - three more than any other side - and they have won 10 in total - twice as many as anyone else.

Only Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha has won more fouls than Mahrez this season (65).

The Foxes have scored the joint-fewest number of goals from outside the box (two) along with Arsenal and Watford.

Leicester City have now won 13 games by a one goal margin this season, more than any other Premier League side.

The Foxes have kept 12 clean sheets in the Premier League. Only Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have managed more (all 13).
