Marc Albrighton is confident Leicester will qualify for the knock-out stage of the Champions League if they win all of their remaining home games in the group stage.

Leicester moved two points clear at the top of Group G on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over Porto at the King Power Stadium.

Islam Slimani scored the only goal of the game to hand Claudio Ranieri's side two wins from two in Europe, following the 3-0 victory over Club Brugge earlier this month.

And with back-to-back games against Copenhagen coming up, Albrighton is confident Leicester can secure a place in the competition's last-16.

"We've given ourselves a great chance," he said. "We have four tough games coming up and if we win our home games then I think we'll qualify. It's a long way in the future but that's definitely our aim.

"We said before the competition started we needed to make this place a fortress and we certainly showed that against a top Porto side and hopefully we can do it against Copenhagen.

"It's a great record to have (being the first English club to win their opening two Champions League games) and we have given ourselves the best possible opportunity and we want to go far in the competition."

Leicester's fine form in Europe comes as a relief to Albrighton, given the club's mixed start to their first-ever Premier League title defence.

The Foxes have recently suffered 4-1 defeats to title rivals Liverpool and Manchester United and Albrighton knows his side need to improve if they are to take three points against Claude Puel's in-form Southampton on Sunday.

"We have had some tough games, going to Liverpool and Old Trafford, but it's the manner we lost which was tough to take," Albrighton said.

"If we can sort that form out and carry on this form then we'll have good season.

"It's going to be difficult, we are going to do our best. We have got the squad now and options in all positions and we need to make use of them. If we change the side we're not going to be losing out."
