Leicester defender Christian Fuchs is hoping to draw one of European football's top clubs in the next round of the Champions League, after the Foxes secured their place in the last-16 with one group game to spare.

Claudio Ranieri's side guaranteed themselves top spot in Group G after defeating Club Brugge 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Foxes, who are playing in their first ever Champions League campaign, could now draw the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the next round of the competition.

Fuchs sees no reason why reigning Premier League champions Leicester cannot challenge Europe's best in the latter stages of the competition.

"It will be the same like winning the Premier League. We are good at being the underdogs and giving our best," said Fuchs.

"I think we have a good squad, we have good quality and everything is possible. We showed this last season that we are able to do great things. Why not also in the Champions League?

"If you get one of the top teams over two legs it would be fantastic. To go to their stadium and for them to come here, the occasion would be immense.

"Some of us might not get the opportunity to play in this competition ever again and we want to make the most of it this year and play as many games as possible. We want to enjoy the occasions but we want to win the games and progress even further."
