Craig Shakespeare has begun initial talks with Leicester City over the extension of his managerial contract, according to Sky sources.

He still has a year remaining on his assistant manager's deal, but the Foxes board has opened negotiations for him to stay on as manager.

Shakespeare was with Director of Football Jon Rudkin at the LMA Awards dinner in London on Monday night.

He is due to spend the next few days with the club's owners in Nice and at the Monaco Grand Prix.
