Leicester skipper Wes Morgan understands why a club of Roma’s stature are interested in team-mate Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez trained with his team-mates on Tuesday, just 48 hours after telling Leicester he wanted to speak to Roma about a potential switch to the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma have seen a number of bids for the 2016 PFA Player of the Year rejected but remain keen to bring Mahrez to the Italian capital, after selling Mohamed Salah to Liverpool earlier in the transfer window.
Mahrez told Sky Sports News last week he will continue to give his best for the club until a mutually agreeable resolution is found. And Morgan says Mahrez's attitude in training has been exemplary despite ongoing speculation about the his future.
"It's to be expected that big clubs will be after our biggest name players," Morgan told Sky Sports News. "But at the end of the day he is still with us.
"He is a still a Leicester player and that's all that matters. We can't think about what could happen or where he might go.
"At the training ground we all train together and I have to say is his attitude has been great. He hasn't shown that he is angry or that he is upset in any way or that his head is not in it. He comes in and he trains hard.
"We expect players to come and players to go. [N'Golo] Kante went and there were no hard feelings there. We'd all love Riyad to stay, but who knows what will happen."
Meanwhile, Leicester are close to making their fifth summer signing with the addition of Coventry's George Thomas.
The 20-year-old attacking player is out of contract but Coventry are due compensation, A fee of £500,000 plus add-ons has been agreed between the two clubs for the Wales youth international.
