New Leicester boss Claude Puel has announced that Pascal Plancque will join his coaching staff.
Plancque, 54, will act as one of two assistant managers alongside Michael Appleton, who is to remain in his post.
After a lengthy career as a midfielder for various French sides, Plancque went into coaching, and he was on Puel's staff at Southampton last year.
Appleton will remain a part of the coaching set-up, having guided Leicester to a pair of victories as caretaker boss following last week's sacking of Craig Shakespeare.
Puel said: "t is important to have a trainer (Appleton) with the players, who can help me have a relationship with the players.
"It is very, very important to prepare and make decisions. I speak about Appleton and Pascal will come in as assistant manager. He brings the same things as Michael.
"He is a good person, like Michael, and a good trainer also."
