Striker happy with life at Leicester
Leicester striker David Nugent has credited Foxes manager Sven Goran Eriksson for his improved form.
The 26-year-old former England striker signed a three-year contract at the King Power Stadium in the summer after leaving Portsmouth.
Nugent is enjoying working under Eriksson and believes the Swede's management style has boosted his confidence.
"I didn't feel wanted at Portsmouth until my last season there when I played every game," Nugent told the
Leicester Mercury.
"It gives you confidence when you play every game and I think I have done well.
"I think that is how I got my move to Leicester. With all the experience the gaffer has, for him to say that is really pleasing. Hopefully, I can repay him.
"At the start of the season, we were scoring goals but conceding them too. Now we are keeping clean sheets, so it is up to the strikers to do what we are paid to do - score goals."
