Midfielder Drinkwater has had a magnificent season for Leicester, helping the club win promotion to the Premier League and earning a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
He only joined the club in 2012, having started his career with Manchester United and also had loan stints with Huddersfield, Cardiff, Watford and Barnsley.
The 24-year-old believes he is benefiting from that stability and is committed to staying at Leicester for a long time.
"It is the first year I have been completely settled at a club since United and I think that has helped," he told the Leicester Mercury. "It has shown in my performances.
"I am more than happy to stay here for the rest of my career if that is what the club wants.
"This season has been class and I couldn't hope for any more than the team to get promoted and for me to play a big part in that.
"Winning the awards was a bit overwhelming as any of the lads could have won them. It has been a great team effort."
Drinkwater is thrilled to have experienced such a successful season with Leicester, who amassed 102 points to win the Championship title.
"From a team perspective we have achieved everything we have set out to," he said.
"As far as success goes, you can't really top this. You can't beat it.
"This is why we play football . This is why you train every day and what you dream of as a kid."
