Barnsley have confirmed the players they will retain at Oakwell and those that will be released from the Yorkshire club. Stephen Foster has already accepted a contract offer, and deals have also been offered to Jim O'Brien and Jacob Butterfield. Jay McEveley, Alastair Taylor, Andy Gray, David Cotterill, David Preece and Nathan Doyle have all been released by the club. All loanees will also return to their parent club, with the club opting not to try and sign any of them on a permanent deal.
