Chuba Akpom accidentally injured referee Keith Stroud during Hull's 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

Hull City's Chuba Akpom accidentally injured referee Keith Stroud during their 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.

The Arsenal loanee barged into the back of the official, seemingly unable to stop himself in time as he tried to track his man during an Owls attack.

Medical teams from both sides came on to help Stroud who was replaced by fourth official Darren Handley for the final four minutes of additional time, and despite limping, managed to walk off the field.

Akpom made a massive difference for his side just seconds after coming on, instigating Abel Hernandez' equaliser after Fernando Forestieri opened the scoring for Sheffield Wednesday.
