Hull have begun the process of appointing a new head coach and are currently interviewing candidates for the role.

The Tigers are searching for a replacement for former manager Steve Bruce, who left the club by mutual consent last weekend.

The 55-year-old, who was interviewed for the England job earlier this month, guided Hull back to the Premier League last season but has since stepped down reportedly over concerns of a lack of investment at the KCOM Stadium.

Hull are keen to replace Bruce with a head coach, rather than a manager, and have drawn up a five-man shortlist for the job.

Sky sources understand the interview process is already under way and that the club expect it to be completed by Monday, with the hope of making an appointment by the end of next week.
