Hull City have appointed Neil McDonald as their new assistant head coach.
The 50-year-old, who left his role as Blackpool manager when they were relegated at the end of last season, will act as No 2 to recently appointed boss Mike Phelan.
Phelan had been working without an assistant after Stephen Clemence left the club earlier this month to join former Tigers boss Steve Bruce at Aston Villa in a similar capacity.
McDonald has years of experience as an assistant manager, having worked with former England boss Sam Allardyce at Bolton, Blackburn and West Ham.
Phelan told the club's website: "I'm pleased to welcome Neil to the Club and look forward to working with him.
"It was important that we added to the backroom staff here and Neil brings a wealth of football experience which will be of huge importance as the season progresses."
