Adama Diomande and Jake Livermore's goals appeared to be sending Hull out of the bottom three but former Hull player Campbell responded in the 89th minute.

Palace winger Zaha was the star man. He was denied a stunning goal in the first half, earned the penalty that kick-started the second-half goal rush, scored a superb goal to give his side a short-lived lead, and created the late equaliser.

Hull boss Mike Phelan switched to the currently popular three-man defence with wing-backs in a bid to change his team's fortunes.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has made the back three fashionable and it worked so well for Hull that Alan Pardew followed suit in the second period by bringing on Zeki Fryers.
