Leeds have signed Sweden international Pontus Jansson on a season-long loan from Italian side Torino.
Central defender Jansson, 25, is Leeds head coach Garry Monk's 10th summer signing and is expected go straight into the squad for Saturday's Sky Bet Championship game at Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
"It feels really good to be here," Jansson told Leeds' official website. "I heard about three or four days ago that Leeds were interested and I spoke to the coaches.
"I know (assistant head coach) Pep (Clotet) well from my time with Malmo in Sweden two or three years ago - he's a good person and a good coach. I'm looking forward to working with him again.
"I need to play football regularly and I know that Leeds are a big club with big ambitions - they also have a lot of fans in Sweden, so I'm really happy to be here."
Jansson has made eight senior appearances for Sweden and was included in their Euro 2016 finals squad.
The 6ft 5in centre-half spent five years in Malmo's first team before moving to Italy with Torino in the summer of 2014.
