Hatters resigned to Spring exit

Luton Town manager Mike Newell is resigned to losing Matthew Spring should a bigger club come calling.

The former Blackburn Rovers striker is keen for the 24-year-old to remain, however Nottingham Forest and Leeds United are interested in his services.

Spring has been at Luton since graduating through the club's youth system, but is now out of contract and evaluating his options.

"I'm not holding my breath over him staying," said Newell.

"I'm convinced he'll go to Forest or Leeds if they make him an offer, which I'm sure they will."
