Howard receives August gong

Luton Town striker Steve Howard is League One Player of the Month for August.

The former Hartlepool United and Northampton Town hit-man's goals helped Mike Newell's side to a 100 percent record in their first six matches.

The 28-year-old scored five goals in the first five League games to help The Hatters to the top of the table.

The big forward will hope to continue his goalscoring prowess, as Luton have surprised many with their excellent start to the new campaign.
