Burton have signed young midfielder Nathan Ferguson on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The 20-year-old has been playing non-league football with Grays and signed for Burton after spending a week training with the Sky Bet League One leaders' first team squad.
"I came in for a week to train and I really liked the atmosphere and all the lads made me feel very welcome," Ferguson told the official Brewers website.
"I was very keen to come here and work with the squad at Burton."
Ferguson joined Isthmian League Grays after originally coming through the youth ranks at Dagenham.
He joins Burton with the club having granted permission for their manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink to speak to Championship club QPR about the managerial vacancy at Loftus Road.
