Bradford have sold striker Devante Cole to Sky Bet League 1 rivals Fleetwood for an undisclosed fee and Jamie Proctor has moved in the opposite direction on loan.

Cole, son of former Manchester United striker Andrew, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Fleetwood and is expected go straight into their squad for Saturday's home league game against Doncaster.

Fellow striker Proctor, 23, will also be available for Bradford's trip to Port Vale after joining the West Yorkshire club for an initial month.

"We wanted to freshen things up and we got a very good financial offer from Fleetwood," Bradford boss Phil Parkinson told the T&A.

"It puts some money back available to us and we felt that if we didn't take it, that money might not be there in two days' time.

"Purely for football reasons, we decided it was the right thing to do."

Cole, who progressed through Manchester City's academy, joined Bradford on a free transfer in August 2015 after loan spells at Barnsley and MK Dons.
