Scunthorpe winger Gary McSheffrey has joined Doncaster on loan for the rest of the season.

McSheffrey is expected to feature in Rovers' Easter fixtures at Colchester on Friday and at home against Blackpool on Monday.

The 33-year-old has struggled to make the starting line-up for Scunthorpe in recent weeks and his last five appearances have been off the bench.

McSheffrey joined the Iron in January 2014 and has scored a total of 15 goals in 91 appearances for the club.
