Grant Holt is among eight players set to leave Rochdale at the end of their contracts

Grant Holt, Reuben Noble-Lazarus and Michael Rose are among eight players set to leave Rochdale at the end of their contracts.

The League One club have issued their retained list and manager Keith Hill will also see Nyal Bell, Rhys Bennett, Billy Hasler-Cregg, Joel Logan and David Syers depart Spotland at the end of the season.

Calvin Andrew, Ashley Eastham, Olly Lancashire and Josh Lillis are also out of contract this summer but the quartet have been offered new deals.

The club have taken up options on Jamie Allen, Joe Bunney, James Hooper, Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Donal McDermott and Joe Rafferty, extending their stay.
