Bury have signed midfielder Neil Danns on a two-year contract, the Sky Bet League One club have announced.
Danns, released by Bolton at the end of last season, has impressed Shakers boss David Flitcroft during a trial and his deal has been confirmed on the club's official website.
The 33-year-old progressed through Blackburn's academy and had loan spells with Blackpool, Hartlepool and Colchester before joining the latter permanently in 2004.
He signed for Birmingham in a £500,000 deal in 2006 and helped them win promotion to the Premier League before spells at Crystal Palace and Leicester. He has made a career total of 326 league appearances, scoring 60 goals.
