Barnsley have signed Benin midfielder Sessi D'Almeida on a two-year deal.
D'Almeida, who came through the Bordeaux academy and made six appearances for Paris St Germain's 'B' team after signing for the Ligue 1 giants in 2015, has been on trial with the Tykes this summer.
The 20-year-old appeared in friendlies against Hull and Peterborough and has done enough to earn a deal until 2018.
He told the club's official website: "I've been here for a few weeks now and I've been made very welcome at Barnsley. The stadium and facilities at Oakwell are superb; it's a great environment to be in and I'm absolutely delighted to continue my career here.
"I would like to thank Paul Heckingbottom and everyone at Barnsley FC for putting their faith in me and I'm determined to repay them. I will be working as hard as possible to help the team and show the fans what I can do."
Head coach Heckingbottom added: "Since joining us on trial Sessi has performed exceptionally well both in training and in the two pre-season games. He fits the bill in terms of the type of player we are looking to recruit.
"He has a great work ethic, he's determined to succeed and he has the potential to become a top player. We've given him an opportunity to build a career here in England and now it's down to Sessi to work hard and break into the first team."
