Scunthorpe have signed forward Jonathon Margetts from Lincoln on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old joined non-league side Lincoln earlier in the summer and made seven league appearances for the club, scoring five goals - including all four in City's 4-0 win over Southport earlier in the month.
Margetts told Scunthorpe's official website: "I'm delighted. It's been a bit of a whirlwind few days
"I only found out about it yesterday but I'm just glad it's all sorted. It's a big club and nearby to me, so I'm just delighted it's been sorted.
"I only signed for Lincoln City two months ago, so it was a difficult decision but really this was an opportunity I couldn't turn down. I loved my time at Lincoln and, even though I've only been there a short time, it's the most I've enjoyed my football in my career."
