Swansea midfielder Jay Fulton has joined Oldham on a 93-day emergency loan deal, subject to international and Premier League clearance.
The 21-year-old has made seven appearances for Swansea since joining from Scottish side Falkirk in the 2014 January window.
"I'm delighted to bring Jay into the club," Oldham interim manager David Dunn told the Latics' official website.
"He is someone we have watched a few times and he comes highly recommended.
"He has a good character, works his socks off, is a box-to-box midfielder and I'm looking forward to working with him."
Fulton has also been capped at Scotland under-18, 19 and 21 level and scored five goals in 83 games for Falkirk before moving south.
The Scot will not feature in Saturday's trip to Doncaster for Oldham, who sit one point above the relegation zone in Sky Bet League 1.
