Paul Williams has left Nottingham Forest after his contract expired.

The first-team coach was left in temporary charge following Dougie Freedman's departure in March and collected 10 points from 10 games.

"I would like to thank the fans for all their support since I took charge," said Williams, who joined Freedman's staff in December.

"Although we struggled with results at first, I felt our performances were strong and the lads gave me everything they had.
