Nottingham Forest have confirmed the double signing of Benfica pair Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves - the former for a club-record £13m.
Attacking midfielder Carvalho, 21, will sign a five-year contract and officially become a Forest player on July 1 - smashing the previous record of £6.2m paid for Britt Assombalonga in 2014.
Goncalves, also 21 and a winger, will join Aitor Karanka's side on a season-long loan, also from July 1, with the option to make the move permanent next summer.
Both players are represented by Jorge Mendes, whose close relationship with Wolves since they were bought by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International two years ago has been questioned by EFL clubs.
Nottingham Forest were taken over by Greek shipping magnate Evangelos Marinakis in 2017.
Carvalho and Goncalves were on the fringes of the Benfica side last season, the former making just two starts in the Primeira and the latter only three.
The Portugal U21 internationals came through the youth ranks at the club, breaking into the first-team last season.
