Shaw signs Blackpool deal

Blackpool's Matthew Shaw has penned a new deal at Bloomfield Road.

The 20-year-old striker has impressed at the League One outfit since moving to the club in December.

Shaw, who has made just one appearance for Blackpool to date, is highly-regarded by Blackpool boss Colin Hendry.

"Matt has signed a long-term contract with us," Hendry told the club's official website

"We've seen him score goals in the reserves and some very good ones in training.

"His attitude is first class, he's a local lad, he's fit and he's hungry, he will be an asset to this football club."
