Swansea have agreed a deal with Sevilla for experienced striker Fernando Llorente.

The Swans have been looking for a forward following a string of summer departures and are now poised to land the 31-year-old Spain international, who is due to undergo a medical on Friday, ahead of signing a two-year deal.

A three-time Serie A winner during a stint with Juventus, Llorente joined the Italian side after making over 250 appearances for Athletic Bilbao during a long spell with the Basque club, and then moved on to Sevilla last year.

Llorente helped Sevilla to Europa League glory last term, but largely acted as Kevin Gameiro's understudy, starting 14 times and scoring on four occasions.
