Swansea skipper Jack Cork has urged his team-mates to use Sunday's draw with Chelsea to build momentum after a mixed start to the season.

The Swans lost their previous two Premier League games - at home to Hull and away to Leicester - after securing an opening-day victory at Burnley.

And ahead of a daunting run of league fixtures, Jack Cork welcomed the point gained during the Super Sunday 2-2 draw against Chelsea, who lost their 100 per cent record under manager Antonio Conte.

"Playing against the bigger teams seems to suit us better," said Cork. "I think it's because the pressure comes off us.

"This was always going to be a tough period, but if we can get a few points from these next few tough games it will be a big bonus for the games after.

The draw lifts Swansea up to 13th in the Premier League table and Cork is hopeful they can continue improving over the coming weeks.

Swansea travel to Southampton on Sunday and face home games against Manchester City and Liverpool before taking on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

"We showed a bit of passion and fight in the second half and, hopefully, that's what we can produce for the rest of the season," added Cork.

"We needed to get going after Hull and Leicester and not lose three on the bounce. We played without any fear in the second half and showed that we can play better."
