Carlos Carvalhal has urged his Swansea side to keep the momentum of their performance against Chelsea going for the final three games of the season.
The Swans suffered a 1-0 defeat on Saturday evening with a fourth-minute goal from Cesc Fabregas seeing them lose a second consecutive Premier League game for the first time under Carvalhal.
With just one point now between themselves and Southampton in the final relegation place, Carvalhal is hoping his side can keep a positive momentum going as the season heads towards a conclusion.
"If we play like that under pressure, then it is very welcome because we are in a good way to stay in the division," he said.
"What we must do is keep the momentum of the performance going into the last games because if we perform like that, we will achieve the necessary points to stay in the competition.
"When we arrived [at Swansea], we were five points to the teams above, we depended on others to try and get out of this position. In this moment we just depend on us, it's something we have in our hands.
"We must look to the games that we have - Bournemouth, Southampton and Stoke - to try and achieve the necessary points to stay in the division."
Despite a lacklustre first half, Swansea were much improved after the break and were in the ascendancy in the final 15 minutes, with Carvalhal full of praise for his players.
"There are negatives and positives from this game. The negative is we lose, the positive is we play against a strong team, playing like a strong team play," he added.
"I'm very, very happy with the performance, very, very happy with the commitment, my players play with the heart.
"I'm happy with the fans. In this moment, all clubs are playing under pressure, and my team playing under pressure gave a good answer."
