A Millwall supporter who collapsed at a League One match against Northampton in April has died.
Anthony Murphy passed away on Friday morning - five weeks after the incident at The Den on Friday, April 14.
The game was stopped when a group of home fans tried to get onto the pitch in the closing stages of the Lions' 3-0 win to bring the incident to the attention of referee Graham Salisbury.
Medical staff performed CPR on Mr Murphy for more than 30 minutes and the game was halted just short of the scheduled end of added time after requests from both managers.
A statement on Friday read: "Millwall Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lions fan Antony Murphy.
"Antony fought like a true Lion from the moment he collapsed during the game against Northampton Town right up until his tragic passing on Friday morning.
"Everyone associated with Millwall Football Club sends its condolences to the Murphy family and Antony's friends at this tremendously difficult time."
