Danny Shittu has defended Millwall's efforts in tackling racism in the wake of allegations about the club's supporters.
Shittu, currently in his second spell with Millwall, has also played against the Lions at The Den. And the 32-year-old insists he has never been on the receiving end of racist taunts as an opposition player. "When I did play against them, anybody will tell you that anybody who comes back to Millwall, it's a hard ground to play at," added Shittu. "The fans really do get on your back, but personally I didn't really experience any racism from them. "It is a hard place to come and play and you do get a lot of abuse, like you do at any club you go to. "I didn't personally get any racist taunts or anything like that."
